Eating out in Hull

Eating out in Hull

There are many places to eat all over the city centre as well as close to home, especially along Newland and Princes Avenue which are both less than ten minutes walk from Westfield. Princes Avenue in particular has become regarded as the premier destination for food buffs and gourmandes, offering an abundance of restaurants and cafe bars serving international cuisine from all around the globe.

We recommend …

THE LAUNDRY

The new kid on the block is this cosy yet quirky diner situated on the site of the old laundromat, hence its name and mascot – a frilly mauve bra hanging decoratively from the restaurant’s funky spiral stair case.  Anyway, cut to the chase, we love it!  The food is fab, the shabby-chic interior delightful, and the staff are brill; attentive, friendly, welcoming. It makes all the difference! Portions are totally sufficient, not too little-not too much, and value for money scores 10/10. Definitely worth a visit.

“Our exciting new menu will comprise of hearty old fashioned British food and British’s favourite dishes, full of flavour and fresh local ingredients… as well as loads of choice for our discerning vegetarians. Tasty sandwiches and lunchtime specials, fresh coffees and cakes, sumptuous evening meals and late night snacks with vibrant cocktails!”
